Your Oakley PTO

The Oakley Elementary PTO (Parent Teacher Organization) is a service-oriented group dedicated to supporting student well being by fostering engagement between the school, parents, and the community.

We offer support and encouragement to Oakley's teachers and staff by providing annual grants for classroom materials and hosting teacher appreciation events.

Enrichment opportunities for students are available through our creative learning grants, and we also support the media center with an annual stipend for new books and materials.

We host several community-oriented events throughout the school year, including the winter Holiday Shop and the spring Block Party. And through our class parent initiative, we aim to offer more direct connection between the classroom ecosystem and the families that make up those small communities.

The PTO leadership is made up of parent volunteers (with our principal, Dr. Landreth), and we understand the challenges of adding one more thing to the family calendar.

Despite that, we also know that many hands make light work, and we aim to make Oakley the best school in the county by engaging our community, being resourceful, and encouraging an ethos of volunteerism.

Membership in the PTO is assumed for anyone with a stake in the success of Oakley Elementary; there are no fees and no paperwork to join. If you would like to opt into our list serv to receive extra communications, email oakleypto@gmail.com. No contribution (time, supplies, money, ideas) is too small, and we welcome your thoughtful suggestions.
